Orders and pricing

Prices are shown in your region's currency and include applicable taxes where required. Your order is an offer to buy; the contract forms when we confirm it by email. We may correct pricing errors and cancel affected orders with a full refund.

Your digital books

Buying a digital book gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to read or listen for your own use. You may not redistribute, resell, publish or otherwise make it publicly available, or remove rights-management information. Ownership stays with the rights holder.

Access is through the Galatea App via an emailed link. You need a compatible device and an internet connection to download.

Paperbacks

Title and risk pass to you on delivery. We describe books as accurately as we can; colour and finish may vary slightly.

Availability

We may withdraw a title at any time. If we cannot fulfil a paid order we refund it in full.

Some product pages link to Amazon. Those purchases are made under Amazon's terms, not ours, and we may earn a commission — disclosed where the link appears.

Liability

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, our liability for an order is limited to what you paid for it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States. Your statutory rights continue to apply, including the mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence and your right to bring proceedings there.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published when you place your order.
